| Below we’ve listed the Historic Sites by region & if they charge
fees. Most of the sites are open almost everyday. Remember,
the majority of the NC’s state Historic sites are always
free!! Note: most Historic Sites have gift shops, so spending
money is suggested. Western NC

North Carolina has made every effort to keep its’ state-owned
sites FREE & accessible to all, however, some locations do charge
a fee for attending. When planning to visit one of these great
locations, always check with each site to reserve your group & ask
about any special events or programs you can add to your group’s
experience!
